JIC QUALITY CENTER COLLABORATES WITH THE INSTITUTE OF PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION

With the aim of promoting a culture of quality by enhancing the modern approaches applied within the College, the JIC Quality Center, in partnership with the Institute of Public Administration (IPA) in Dammam, conducted a course entitled “Application of Quality Management System (QMS)” at the Management and Information Technology (MIT) building between May 6-8, 2013. The said course was attended by 25 coordinators from each JIC departments.

Dr. Nasser Al-Qahtani and Dr. Ahmed bin Hassan from the IPA taught the 3-day courses, during which, they discussed the basic concepts on quality management system, its main focus and purpose of its implementation. Further, the participants and trainers have also deliberated on a number of successful QMS implementations in other prominent organizations and the strategies and methods successfully applied by these bodies when faced with various difficulties and obstacles. The course contents also included a review of the pros and cons that can be expected during the QMS implementation and its impact on the performance of the organizations implementing it.

The workshop witnessed a positive interaction between participants and trainers that are indeed helpful particularly in various quality system procedures applied within the College.
