In an unprecedented initiative by the Colleges and Institutes Sector of the Royal Commission in Jubail, Jubail Industrial College, represented by the Students' Activities Committee, kicked-off the "Toastmasters" activity in the College under the patronage of JIC Managing Director Dr. Eid Al Hajri, hosting Toastmasters World Champion 2015, Engr. Mohammed Al Qahtani.

Dr. Al Hajri opened the event with a few words stressing the importance of such initiative that focuses on improving the students' interpersonal skills such as communication and leadership. Dr. Al Hajri's word was followed by a speech from Dr. Soloman Al Madhi, Director of District 79, who thanked JIC's management and cooperation which helped this initiative become a reality. Finally, Engr. Mohammed Al Qahtani took the stage and received a very exciting reaction from the students. He presented an example of the effectiveness of being a "Toastmasters Club" member from his personal experience. He also encouraged students to set targets and pursue them if they want to succeed in their academic and personal lives.

The Managing Director then concluded the event by presenting the guests with tokens of appreciation.
