Jubail Industrial College Inaugurates the Fire Safety Engineering Specialist Certification Program

Jubail Industrial College inaugurated the Fire Safety Engineering Specialist Certification program offered by the JIC Fire and Safety Training Center, in collaboration with the Saudi Civil Defense and the Saudi Association for Safety and Fire (SASF). The 3-month program is approved by the Technical Committee to be a minimum qualification requirement for engineers who are looking to pursue a career in consultant offices affiliated with the Saudi General Directorate of Civil Defense, and for engineering offices and companies concerned with the work of fire prevention and safety systems in the kingdom.

Dr. Eid M. Al-Hajri, JIC Managing Director, mentioned on his speech that JIC fully supports the goal of the kingdom to provide the labor market with competent manpower in the field of fire safety by offering high quality and innovative professional programs that meet the national and international standards. In line with the Saudi Vision 2030, the College is always at the forefront of giving trainees from the industrial and government sectors the appropriate practical experiences and raising their training efficiency and qualifications.

During the inauguration ceremony, JIC signed the memorandums of understanding (MOU) and Agreements with various partners, namely: Saudi Association for Safety and Fire, FAHSS TUV NORD, Jensen Hughes, King Saud University Medical City, and the Occupational Safety, Health Association and Security (OSHAS).

Furthermore, several meetings were held between the College and the American National Fire Protection Association, Johnson Hughes and the International Accreditation Authority for Continuing Education and Training.
