Jubail Industrial College, under the patronage of the Managing Director Dr. Eid M. Al-Hajri, opened on January 24, 2018 the JIC Fire and Safety Training Center, in cooperation with the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and Jensen Hughes. The new training center offers training and certification courses in the field of safety and fire protection, and provides the industry with the necessary competencies in both fields.
In his opening speech, Dr. Al-Hajri said that one of the main objectives of the College is to develop the human resources of the employees of Jubail Industrial City through the provision of programs and specialized courses. Accordingly, the Fire and Safety Training Center has been established with the state-of-the-art facility, under the engineering and technical supervision of Jensen Hughes USA, a leading engineering consulting firm for fire protection.
It is worth mentioning that the JIC Fire and Safety Training Center collaborates with the Ministry of Civil Defense in the field of training and development of manpower and the college is working hard to adopt it as a certified training center in the field of safety and fire protection.
The Center aims to provide training programs and courses through curriculum development under the umbrella of the global references adopted by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
