The Chemical Engineering Department in the Jubail Industrial College (JIC) held a lecture on the Principles of Safety and Industrial Hygiene on February 23, 2016 at JIC Auditorium.

The lecturer, Mohammed Al-Anzi, has a master's degree from the United States on occupational safety and hygiene, and currently works as an industrial safety and occupational hygiene engineer in Maaden Company.

The lecture aims at spreading preventive awareness about occupational safety and health matters among students. The speaker focused on the key points that contribute significantly to the protection of human injury risk in work environment, prevention of causalities through providing a safe work environment free from the causes of accidents or injuries.

The event also seeks to spread the culture of commitment to systems and principles of safety and occupational hygiene.
